Application range of fluff powder
1. Used in fluff coatings. By combining with elastic resin, it can make the spraying surface have a soft fluffy feeling, and it is sound-absorbing and scratch-resistant. It is mainly used for surface treatment of leather, plastic and other matte surfaces.
2. Used in plastics, after being mixed with other resins in proportion and processed by injection molding machines and extruders, a fluffy texture is produced on the surface, thus creating a special effect.
Fine particle size (10um) has a dense touch and is mostly used in high-priced products such as lipsticks, computer shells, etc. Medium particle size (15um) has a slightly coarse touch and is mostly used on leather or PU leather surfaces and some car interiors, etc. Large particle size (30um) has a rough touch and some customers use it on shoe soles or tennis racket grips.
usage:
Generally, fluff powder is used as an additive. Before use, stir 1 part of fluff powder in 2 parts of solvent (dibutyl ether or xylene) to moisten it for about 10 minutes. Then add the solvent to 1 part of resin and let it harden. There are two types of hardening methods, one is a single-liquid type, that is, no hardener is added, and the other is a two-liquid type with a hardener added. The resulting fluff paint can then be added with some anti-settling agents and wax.
The amount of fluff powder added varies according to the purpose. For example, for leather surface treatment, about 10%~20% is added, while for plastic surface, about 25-35% is added, and for surface treatment (generally refers to PU leather), 5%~8% is added. The general purpose of fluff powder is to increase its added value.
